TV Traffic Management

Traffic management for television refers to the process of planning, scheduling, tracking, and coordinating all content and advertising that moves through a TV broadcast or streaming operation. The “traffic” department acts as the operational control center that ensures the correct programming, commercials, promos, and legal content air at the right time and on the correct channels. 

Over six years, I worked as a software engineer for two companies focused on developing traffic management solutions for broadcast television, cable television, and radio. Through this experience, I gained extensive knowledge of television production operations, media scheduling workflows, and the systems that support day-to-day broadcast management.
